[rebel-builders] leading edge cuff

Post by Ken » Sun Feb 19, 2012 4:52 pm

Yes Ducky visited lasted weekend and did a couple of local fam flights
for friends. What a great way to visit someone compared to a 3 or 4 hour
drive through and around Toronto. The manager always makes visitors
welcome at Haliburton Stanhope. Nice thing about a STOL Rebel is that it
doesn't bother me to fly up there. I'm pretty confident that we'd walk
away from the wreckage even if we had to force land on a trail, beach,
or beside a swamp. Down side of the Subaru is that folks don't recognize
it as airplane noise. They tell me it sounds like a fast boat or car ;)

I'm pretty sure the STOL kit does cover the bottom stringer Jason. If it
fits against the foam blocks I'm sure it's fine. None of the rivets go
through the stringer as I recall.

Hi all
If someone remembers or is close to their plane to look,I'm wanting
to double check that on Angus' stol kit on the bottom it does cover
the stringer row
of rivets?Thats the first stringer from the leading edge on the bottom
of the wing.I was
installing them today and thought I remembered it was supposed to stop
short of the first
stringer.Looks like it will work if it does cover it but thought I'd
check.

Thanks
