Hi All
Just wondering about the correct position of the CC-43 at the wing root on
my Elite to get correct aileron deflections. I've emailed Jeff but while I'm
waiting for his reply I wonder what the rest of you have found when doing
this bit.
In the elite manual it's Ch8 para 8.27.6 and fig 8.27.4
The book says allow approx 2.5 inches from the bottom of the wing to the
bottom of the horn on the CC-43 with aileron full up (20 degrees)
If I rig this the full down (40 degrees) position puts the top of the CC-43
horn at the root above the upper surface of the wing!
I reckon a bottom position of about 1.5 inches is much better, and then I
get about .75 inch clearance at the top.
Anyone else found this ?

CC-43 wing root positioning Elite (maybe Rebel as well)
CC-43 wing root positioning Elite (maybe Rebel as well)
Hi Nigel
having built two Elites the set up in the book works as the ailerons do not
droop to 40 degrees. With max aileron deflection they will only get to about
34 degrees down with full flap selected and I did not have an issue with the
horn coming out the bottom of the fairing.
