[rebel-builders] Headset

Post by Jason Beall » Sun Feb 19, 2012 4:47 pm

All,

For what it's worth, I recently bought two Lightspeed QFR SOLOc headsets for my 310. They are approx $150 and have 29 Db of noise attenuation! More importantly, they are VERY comfortable and lite. They look flimsly but they are actually very well built.

I thought i would offer this up in case anyone is looking for a cheaper alternative for back-seaters or a spouse headset that doesn't cost a fortune.

Does anyone have any experience/knowledge about the Pilot
Communications USA
ANR headset? I demo'd one at an airshow a few months
back and it seemed
very comfortable and effective and was priced about $350.
Their brochure
says they have been around since 1984.

Thanks, Craig

I'll second that. I bought the lightspeed QFR headsets that have ANR as
well and they were about $200 a pair direct from lightspeed. The passive
attenuation is very good on them and the ANR only makes them slightly better.
