1800 amphib floats

I'm just starting my 1800 amphib floats are there any places I need to reinforce or any skins I need increase the thikness of? Any other advice from you amphib float opperators out there.

At one time I talked to someone or read about machining FL230 pivot block on the front gear 2 or 3 degrees to give the pivot shaft a negative angle. I sure would like any input I could get on this. Thanks in advance.
