Fus 10

Hi does anyone know of a reason or mod to change the thickness of the
fus 10 wrap on lwr fus below the door, my 235 Rebel has had one previous
accident and these have been replaced with 25 thou from 20, or was it a
MAM mod?
have searched archives without success
any help appreciated ,Peter.
