rudder pedals - cast aluminium

Folks,

While we are talking about rudder pedals: I have
noticed some builders have installed cast aluminium
pedals available from AS&S, Wag Aero, etc. Do these
pedals 'fit' the Murphy system, or are major
modifications required (i.e. welding)?
