As all of you are aware by now of Terry's horrific crash and death as Sun
N Fun I would like to gather opinion on the best way to sell his
incomplete Rebel which is sitting in our garage in Dublin, Ohio. I also
would like to hear any opinions as to what it is worth for sale purposes.
Around ten years ago he listed it in Trade A Plane and received only one
inquiry from a man in New Jersey who offered him $12,000 for it sight
unseen. This really upset Terry and he decided to not sell it and hold on
to it for his retirement project. Getting the Express into the air was an
all consuming passion which put the rebel project on the shelf, so to
speak. You should know he was an outstanding builder as most engineers are
and was fastidiious and precise, sometimes too precise, which caused slow
progress.

I havent had time to look into his records to see how much $ he had into
the plane and engine. I realize there is no compensation for his time in
building. The engine needs to be re-built. I am unable to tell you the
size and type of engine but I do know it is the larger horsepower of the
two recommended for the rebel back when he first began the kit. The plane
is approximately 2/3 complete. The wings are completed but need to be
re-opened and re-sealed against leaks. The last thing he worked on was
fabricating and installing the dash/control panel under the windshield.
There are all new instruments still in their packages, etc.

I'll check your website to hear your thoughts. I don't need to sell it
immediately for tax reasons this year, but will need to eventually get it
out of our garage.

He loved you guys, he loved seeing you every year at S & F. He and Roger
were really looking forward to the corn roast and having an opportunity to
catch up.

Thanks, Susan Sack

Susan, I was so sorry to hear about Terry, you have my deepest sympathies.

It may not get a lot of use, but I do have a classifieds site that is free
to use. If you have any difficulties figuring it out, I'd be happy to post
any information and photos you have for you.
