Hi Wayne,
The stormscope does a really good job of letting you know how scared to
be sooner. <grin> I have always combined that with my eyes,still the best
detection system. Of course the ADF is a storm detection system too! The
indicator will point towards the lightening for a moment, and you get to listen to
am radio at the same time!

Rick you may as well build a Moose, put in the storm scope plus a full IFR glass panel, and then head off up north during the wet season for some "fun", otherwise no storm scope, a fun rebel and remain strictly VFR( and alive)!!!
