Guy that built Bob White's Elite, that I have here, riveted alum and angled
it off the original filter location to line up with the cowl hole. Lined
edges of the addition with silcon baffle seal. Sent you a couple pics
direct.

Helping a buddy with his windshield on his Elite. He has a Superior 0-360
180 hp and a high speed cowl. The airbox supplied with the firewall kit,
when mounted to the carb, is offset about 1 1/2" to the port side of the
inlet hole. Anyone else experience this and what did you do for a good fit
other than re-work the front of the airbox? Thanks to those that respond.

Many thanks.

No the airbox is some take off from the "fleet" and was worn out already at
110hours on this Elite. Flapper shaft falling out and I had to rebuild it to
get it thru the Transport Canada Inspection after import. Will send you the
pics Eric. They are nothing great and the mod could be done alot
cleaner...but it was already there and it's working..so.....

Hi Wayne and thanks to all that responded. I will probably weld up the
front of his airbox to put the filter behind the intake and angle the rest
toward the carb. Didn't get the pics?!

Tell her that it is alot better to be at home working on a project that is
if nothing else, very educational and entertaining when compared to being
called a bar fly at the local pub!
