Hello
I am "out of stock" with rivets RR-5606 (3/16 x 3/8 SS with steel mandrel). They look very standard.... Is someone have a reference or a style number so I can find them locally....

Don't know what to tell you Jean. I'd be happy with the ones from MAM or
any of the aircraft parts supply places like Spruce. In fact I'd be
happy with the stainless "pop" rivets from the hardware store but that's
just me and I'm not in a position to say they are equivalent (even
though I think they are). They are ridiculously overpriced in my local
hardware store anyway and I usually buy my rivets directly from Textron.
MAM's part numbers are different from what Textron uses but I can look
up Textron or Spruce part numbers if that helps.
BTW make sure you add up the cost of the Garmin accessories when you
compare Garmin to Lowrance. The Lowrance 2000c complete with all
accessories could be had for $750. at sun'n fun last year. For flight
instruments, some of the glass avionics are still having problems so
talk to someone actually flying what you are interested in if you can.

Jean - I needed some 5/32" Multigrip rivets, got the wrong lenth from MAM
and decided to go out and get some - took me 6 weeks with all of the false
starts - I found that there are two manufacturers:
Avex (Textron)
http://www.textronfasteningsystems.com/ ... .html#brea
kstem
You might be after the SR41???
and
Marson (Alcoa)
http://www.alcoa.com/fastening_systems/ ... ory.asp?ca
t_id=661
I ended up getting what I needed (Marson) thru Fastenal (Fastenal.com) - Be
careful about grip length, shear and tensile strengths -
Good Luck --
