of the copper ones, but haven't seen any issues with the plain copper ones
supplied in the kit on cables over the last 13 + years they've been
installed on mine or others I've serviced.

Subject: [rebel-builders] RE: Nicopress Sleeves ?
Anyone know if the N-4 supplied copper nicopress sleeves for the control
cables are copper only or a mix of copper/tin ?
The supplied cable appears to be stainless as I'd expect (very slight
magnetic pull but not severe)
AC43 says plain copper sleeves should not be used with stainless cable,
and
the following below from a web search seems to confirm this....
"When using stainless steel aircraft cable only TIN PLATED COPPER or
STAINLESS STEEL NICOPRESS SLEEVES should be used.
Zinc Plated Copper NICOPRESS sleeves are designed for use with galv. steel
aircraft cable.
The Tin Plated NICOPRESS Sleeves are made from a special Copper alloy that
is compatible with the Stainless Steel cable. It's the special copper
alloy
that makes it acceptable for use on stainless steel aircraft, not the
plating. "
Anyone know what a plated sleeve looks like - is it copper coloured or
silver ?
Thanks
