[rebel-builders] Server back up

Post by Ron Shannon » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:26 am

As a former IT manager, I _do_ know what it takes to do this stuff. It's
painstaking hard work that never seems to go as easy as you planned --
kind of like building an airplane.

I can't imagine building my Rebel without benefit of this list and its
archives. That means I wouldn't be doing it without your help making
your systems work so well, every day. I am going to send a small
donation, and encourage everyone else to do so. We can't thank you enough.

Well it's been a long day, but the server is in its new home. If anybody runs
into any problems please let me know so I can look into it. The only thing I
know of right off hand that isn't working yet is the RBL address book. There's
some more software that I need to install to get that working again, and I've
already been at this all day... so that's going to have to wait.

OK, I'll get on that train! We should all send a little to help keep things
runnung smoothly. I too realize what it takes to keep it running ... I pay my
computer guy to keep my office computers going right (small Real Estate
Firm).
Where should we mail these "Christmas gifts"? The site is a valuable builders
tool!

[rebel-builders] Server back up

Post by mike.davis » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:26 am

Well thanks guys, I've certainly made some improvements to the hardware
the last couple of years, and a lot of that was possible because of the
donations that have been made. Both a link to paypal and my mailing address
are posted in the blue bar down the right side of the archive site main page.

Thanks, Mike
