CUTTING WING SKINS

Post by klehman » Fri Feb 17, 2012 5:56 pm

Douglas

I used a 5/8" hole saw at the corner then cut with offset hand snips and filed
the edge. If you're careful, a belt sander will remove material quicker than a
file. Sand parrallel to the edge.

FWIW the Robin offset snip that US Industrial tool (http://www.ustool.com) sells
is the best set of snips I've found for minimizing metal strectching and
subsequent filing. TP299 $44.50 in the 1998 catalog, usually slightly cheaper
at Oshkosh.
