Plan Greenville in 2007

Post by Don Boardman » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:08 am

Hi Jim,

It was nice running into you at Greenville.
This was my second year attending and the first with "Smoky the Moose"
Fantastic weather to fly both Friday (going) and Sunday (returning). No room
at the inn, as they say, so a tent with a friend at the airport became my
home away from home. Lots of room, space not a problem. Worked out great.
There were lots of shuttles to move you around. Turned out people were so
friendly and helpful I always had an offer to ride and never did need the
shuttle. The airplanes, action, good food (do your like lobster!) and drink
all were in abundance. I certainly plan to attend next year and would
encourage other to do so.

Regards,
Don Boardman

Subject: [rebel-builders] International Seaplane Fly In

I just got back from Greenville. I was dissapoiinted that the only Murphy
aircraft was a Moose, but I will have my Rebel up there next year!

I have never been to a seaplane fly in and was pretty suprised at the number
of Cessnas that were there? I did not know that the skyhawk was so popular
for putting on floats. On the experimental side, besides the Moose, I think I
saw a Kit Fox and not a whole lot else. Of the 100+ aircraft there, most
were Cessnas and Piper.

Great time though. Next year I will be up there Friday Saturday and Sunday.
