I only have 2 cyl on mine, and it works fine.

If you are only going to do two...do two opposing cylinders. Two rear ones
would be easiest.

Some certified only do 1...Zenair even did none stating to pump the throttle
to start !!! :O( FIRE !

I generally do all 4 for even wear/starting ...or 3 if I need one port for
vacuum gauge.
