I think Gator Aviation built C-GATR and not NAM. Are they affiliated with
one another? Here are a few shots of the building process.

that will be flown down to Sun 'n Fun next spring to be introduced
to the world ! :-)

You are correct, somehow MAM bought it when the customer for it fell
through - or something like that. Either way, sure hard for guys to
get demo flights when the company doesn't have a demo plane.

That one is an aftermarket. Just my opinion but it is ugly - doesn't
fair into the fin at the top very well. Of course should really keep
that opinion to my self as seems everyone is putting them on.

I'll let you take the heat for saying it was ugly <grin>. It makes the fin
and rudder look too short..there are a few without it and they work just
fine on the floats with the ventral fin and/or smaller top fin fairings -
Mine, Steve's, Ron's, Al's etc. actually looks like most on my site don't
