Aileron Deflection

Post by Alister Yeoman » Fri Feb 17, 2012 5:39 pm

Hi There,
A Rebel builder out here has just asked me what final measurements I used to set up the ailerons, I can't find the relevant piece of paper!

Has anyone out there got the answer? i.e. with neutral flaperon, how many inches deflection up and down do you set your ailerons at?

If you have the answer it would be much appreciated.

Cheers

Alister

aileron deflection

Post by RLSibert » Sun Feb 19, 2012 11:04 am

Hi Guys,
I was wondering if any of you "flying rebels" could let me know how much
deflection you're getting with your ailerons (flaperon version with the
flaps up). I'm looking for the minumum I can get away with.
The digital"smart level" I'm using tells me I'm getting about 8 degs.
up and down. I realize it's not what the manual calls for. (I don't see that
much being possible!) But with that much surface moving I'm wondering if it
is in fact enough. And if it isn't, how do I get more short of starting over?
Input (hopefully positive) would be appreciated.
Thanks, Randy
