MURPHY AIRCRAFT INTRODUCES THE YUKON
This week Murphy Aircraft, Chilliwack, BC, Canada, unveiled the Yukon, a new
4-place utility aircraft that features 30 cubic feet of heated cargo room as
well as tail cone access. The Yukon is considerably lighter than its
predecessor, the Moose, thanks to lighter skins, spars, landing gear, and
power package. All the weight that is saved in the airframe translates into
an 1150-pound payload. It also boasts a range of 875 miles with a 60-gallon
fuel tank and 360- to 390-inch, four-cylinder engine.
The Yukon is available in quick-build format, and can be purchased in
sub-kits for tail, fuselage, wings, and power. It will also be available in
either tricycle or tailwheel configuration. Look for the aircraft to make
its formal debut at the annual Sun 'n Fun Fly-In in Lakeland, Florida, in
April 2007. For more information visit http://murphyair.com/Yukon.html
