wiggly flaperons

Hi! Many thanks to Alister, Phil, Wayne and bobp. I feel a lot better now. I
never had an aileron mixing bar nor did I have that flapcable, I went right
to separate flaps on my Rebel (083) and that is why I have so little slop or
play. I think that Wayne is right, the guy would have cracked up had those
rivets not been there, but I was simply trying to find an explanation of why
the difference between the two airplanes. Again, now I know. The man is
pretty much of a craftsman, so I found my own explanation a little hard to
believe. Add to that the fact that the man is flying a Kitfox also and
there must be quite a difference. The flaperon set-up he had originally,
must have given him (and allegedly experienced buddies of his ) enough
concern, so that at around 8 hours of flight time he switched to split
flaps/ailerons. Not exactly in line with bobp's suggestion, but he has been
flying his machine which is the way to go in bobp's eyes. In any case,
nobody gave as the possible reason, "twisting of the torquetube sections",
this is what this man was convinced was the reason for the large movement. I
am sure whatever twisting there is, is so minuscule you could never find
that back in excessive play. I hope you experts agree with that statement.
In any case, all will be confirmed shortly, he has bolted down his mixing
bar and will also have no noticeable movement when he completes his separate
flap conversion, since the flapcable will not longer be in play. Pun
