Rebel/Elite Float Hydraulic Reservoir Size

Post by Terry Dazey » Sun Feb 19, 2012 10:38 am

Hello Amphib Float Builders/Flyers:

I am thinking of fabricating an aluminum float pump hydraulic reservoir
that will bolt to the aft end of an extended length float pump base.
Looking from the top, it will have a racetrack shape similar to the
shape of a pint can of solvent. The MAM plastic windshield washer
reservoir looked a bit large to me.

My question is: what is the optimum (smallest) capacity for this amphib
float landing gear reservoir unit. A pint? A quart? Or?

If anyone that has done this, do you have parts numbers for the quick
disconnect fittings, threaded inserts etc.

Suggestions? Comments?

Thanks in advance.
