[rebel-builders] Electronic fuel gauges/low fuel and oil ala

Post by Drew Dalgleish » Sun Feb 19, 2012 10:31 am

On that note, how visible is the
auto fuel in the sight tube? Especially after it clouds up? Has someone
found
a tube that will withstand auto stuff? Just wondering.

Hi Curt It's easy to see auto fuel through the sight guage. All you're
looking for is the line at the top of the fuel. I just changed my lines
after about 3 years mostly because it seemed like it was time to do it. The
lines had turned a bit brown at the bottom and were just starting to get
stiff. I believe the stuff I used was called tygothane available at
hydraulic hose suppliers. It's a pale yellow colour and quite soft. This
time I just went to my local snowmobile dealer and asked for some gas line.
I'll see if it stands up as well as the other stuff.
