area. I've seen folks with regular full-on major deal barbeque's and
all sorts of fancy set ups. If you recall, Doug Beechel had a special
cooking and full bar tent set up next to his Moose. Next time someone
tells you not to cook by your plane just offer them a beer <grin>.
Seriously, as long as you have a small camping stove you're Ok. I've
cooked by my plane for several years running with no problems
whatsoever. Make coffee in the a.m.; cook pasta or such in the evening.

Tried 'em all - I think the best experience comes from driving in
and camping on the grounds. Camping under the wing is rough - the
facilities are nowhere near as good as in the campground, and you are
stuck with mostly overpriced junk food. Hotels (book a year or 2 in
advance !!) are really stiff - the Super 8 was $189/night, last time we
checked...
If you drive in, you can get a good spot under trees to tent, with
camp store & showers nearby, and run into town for good restaurants if
you want a change. Also for laundomats ...
There's lots going on at night, or just socialize with neighbours -
it really adds to the experience. Sun n Fun is even better for
night life !! :-)
