File JPG problem

Post by Ted Waltman » Sat Feb 18, 2012 2:33 pm

Mike,

I didn't have any problem whatsoever using Firefox v 1.0.7; I could view
a pic on your site, right click, and save it as a jpg. However, I just
now upgraded to Firefox 1.5--the very latest version out there. Now I
have the same exact problem that Scott is reporting. I cannot right
click and save a pic that I'm viewing as a jpg.

Also, I have the latest version of I.E. with all the latest, up to the
minute, security patches for both XP and IE. I cannot right-click on an
image and save it as a jpg; only can save it as a bmp.

I've tried other sites, i.e. CNN; I can use either Firefox or IE and
save images as jpg anywhere else. Something is screwy on your site.

Ted

File JPG problem

It's even screwier than that... it only happens on images that are in the
file library... any of the images embedded in the web pages work just fine.
I'm sure it's tied into how the system is displaying the image since it's
not a standard web page, but a dynamic template. I've written the developer
about it and hopefully he'll get back quickly, he's usually pretty good
about it. As I mentioned before, you can just right click on the file name
instead of the image, and select "save target as" and it works just fine.

Will let everybody know when/if there are changes.

Mike
