REB: How are you finishing your interior?

Post by pequeajim » Sat Feb 18, 2012 2:33 pm

I am curious as to how you guys are finishing the interior of your aircraft?

How about how you are tieing things together under and behind the panel?

I will check out the file area too.

I primed and painted my interior prior to any controls with a gray poly paint and put a spatter finish on it. Although if your going to insulate then the paint would be just added weight. Bob P. has some nice pics of his interior in the Rebel/interior files. I plan on tieing all my wiring with regular wax string and clamping with a rubberized clamp every 1' or so.

I will look at Bob's interior pictures, thanks. I also like what Nancy sent
me from Murphy wich is a plastic cieling liner and something for the door
sides, although I don't have a clear picture of those. The cieling panels
look pretty nice at first glance tho.

Something else you might consider is spiral wire wrap. I use it on my giant
scale RC helicopters and airplanes to tidy up and protect my wiring. You can
get it in a variety of colors and diameters. Goes on easily and keeps things
neat.

Try this...

Threw in a couple pics of the moulded headliner in Rebel -
Interiors.....since you're asking what it looks like. Allow a GOOD 40 hours
to install..and easier if the fus is upside down for initial fitting!

Thanks Wayne:

I like that and I assume that if desired, you could probably paint the plastic
too.
