Wayne mentioned the Ebay amphib speedster being quite the bargain and it
shows at $65k (which I assume is Canadian $). It is fairly sobering to look
at build costs after airframe, i.e. engine, instruments, paint. Begs the
question, anyone know of some actual sale prices of completed Rebels? I will
eventually need to convince my wife that some serious $ are needed to make
this aluminum fly.

It's actually US $'s Ben and they don't go near as far as they used to. $65K
US when our dollar was x 1.55 was a deal for an older Rebel on Amphibs with
no querks! Kit/parts/fresh engine/prop/fwf kit/$10k for the panel and paint
has you hovering the $65 to $75K cdn mark...then make it easy and add $30K
for the 1800 amphibs already installed. So at $95,000 to $105,000 you are
getting a flying airplane for no labour costs! On this one it looks like you
can get the floats for free as well ! Not sure what Les is
thinking.......and I'm not going to disclose exact sale/trade prices
here....you can send me an email direct if you like.
Cheers,
Wayne
