Hello!
I have a Mac and stuffed the JPEG files with Stuffit. That puts it in a .sit
format. I'm working on using ZipIt, which supposedly works for both Macs and
PCs.
Anybody not able to read the .sit files?
Thanks,
Dan

X-Mailer: Worldtalk (4.1.1-p1)/STREAM
ZIP would be preferred. I don't know how many Mac users we have in the
group, but I'd level a guess that it's less than 10%.If you can't zip
'em, attach them one at a time to separate notes. They will move
through the net better and can then be consumed in smaller chunks.
Just my thoughts.

Hi Dan,
I also have a Mac and use Stuffit. The Stuffit folks have a freeware
decompression program for the Mac, Windows and DOS available here;
http://www.aladdinsys.com/expander/index.html#Win
JPEG files are normally compressed and may not need further compression.
Awhile back I posted the JPEG of the float attach bracket without
additional compression.

The files that we receive here at MAM are not in any format that anyone can
read. Windows 3.11 must have a eight.three extension to be read, with the
..--- a standard extension. Windows 95 and Mac both have longer file names,
but still must have readable extensions.
The files you are sending to us, whether they are jpg files are stuffit
files (we can read both) are a sting of letters with no extension. The last
two files you sent us were received as l.blkhdF/jpeg and r.bulkhdF/jpeg. No
one would be able to open and read these files.
