First Flight Rebel 743 ;)

Post by Jeff McMurrer » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:47 am

Sorry you didn't see the Rebel. She was in the hanger for most of th
e day because of poor weather. Went out again last night. Has a tot
al of 15.5 hrs on her since Wed. now, should have the required 25 h
rs done by the weekend.

Give me a call on my cell if your going to venture back this way into Chi
lliwack. Cell # 604-316-1819.

And yes, the other Rebel you say on the tie down needs plenty of work.
Not pretty.

I flew in to Chilliwack today, but didn't see it. Saw another
Rebel being worked on, that was acquired from Moncton a few
months ago with an 0290. Looks like a lot of work ahead for that
one to get it up to the current standard of mods and fixes.

No, Robin wasn't getting in more air time. He's
already on his w
ay to Osh. If you want to take a look at Rebel 743
she will only be he
re for a shor stay in Chilliwack, BC. Her home is in
Yellowknife.
It will be a sad day to see her leave.

Congrats on a successful first flight. Was that
Robin trying to
get some hours in again on a Rebel? Guess I'll have
to drop in to
Chilliwack for a look-see.

Today has turned out to be most pleasing for the most
part. After two years
of getting Rebel 743 (standard kit), we have completed
our first flight with
minimal troubles.

During our first high speed taxi run, the Rebel didn

No, didn't mean yours Jeff, I picked up on what Walter said when he
mentioned the one from Moncton with an O-290.......... I suspected it
was the green & silver one I knew from my neck of the woods.

Cheers,

Dave

Yes, it was built by a fellow near Moncton back 10+ years ago if my
memory serves me well. I saw it under construction & at a few fly-ins.
