Question for me today: is it recommended to put anything between the
windshield and the sides of the fus 9's and the roof such as sealants etc to
act as anti chafe or is this over kill? Just the sealant between the
retainer strips and the windshield is enough? Thanks

Windshield Install
Steve, I use sealant (butylane (sp) tape strips) between the windshield and
the front fiberglass retainer, the Fus-9's and cabin roof. The retainers
themselves (I use Alum strips for side and top) I put a strip of foam
weather strip on the back side of them for where they sit against the
windshield.
