throttle spacing
Throttle Spacing
Mike,
I asked this question of the list awhile back. Here's the thread. Hope it
helps. I ended up using 2.5" spacing on my panel.

All,
Can anyone advise me what the accepted distance is between throttle and
mixture controls, center to center? I don't have access to an aircraft at the
moment to take a measurement so thought I would ask. I did not want to get
them so close together that operating one would interfere with the other, yet
I don't want to get them to far apart and waste panel space.
Thanks for the help,

Hi Roger,
Just drilled the holes for the throttle and prop in out Moose panel a few
days ago. (M-14, no mixture) I recall we placed them on 2.5" centers. I will
verify tomorrow at the shop and re-email if different. We did a little mock
up and found the distance we thought ... not too close ... not too far.
Later,

Roger,
I tried a 2.75" spacing on a piece of wood and it felt awkward. Then I
measured a Cessna 172 and used that dimension. It is 2.5". The 2.5" seems to
be
perfect.
Good luck,
Rick D.

throttle spacing
I used 3 inch centers between the throttle and my prop controls, seems
comfortable.
