Orange pipe in the Moose

Hello!

In my research for "which tube I will put in my wing for the wiring".... some builder have say that in the fastbuild moose, there was a "orange pipe". I am not "MAM", but may be it is IPEX "KITEC" tubing. It is a aluminium pipe with "plastic" inside and outside of it (like a sandwich). It is flexible and it is for use for potable (hot and cold) water. It is a new system without clamp or solder. I do not know what polymer they use. I went to the hardware store, and I bouth one generation older plastic pipe for my airplane. 20' long each, $7.99 ea, and in the litterature they sau it is made from polyethylene. It is white outside and black inside. I have check fot very thin wall aluminium tubing around here and it look very rare... I hope I have made a good choice!

For those who want more info about Kitec. see www.ipex.com (if it is that pipe in your wing!) but orange pipe are a bit rare!!!

Jean, polyethylene...definitely a much better choice than PVC!

BTW Jean, the orange pipe was just cheap plastic tube that was probably
sourced out of China when MAM was building out of the Philippines. Currently
I'm told they have been using 1/2" split loom automotive style stuff and
when it depletes they will be going to some 3/4" bilge tube that Brent has
sourced.
