Headliner and Plastic interior

Post by steve whitenect » Sat Feb 18, 2012 10:01 am

Hi All
Am about to put in the factory headliner kit. The two sided tape and H & J
strips seem a bit "HOKEY". Anyone try something else or does the kit do a
decent job with proper preperation or does it just fall off after a year or
so in the sun? Thanks

Headliner and Plastic interior

Howard's has been in for 9 years (out right now for rebuild) and mine has
been in for 7+ or so now...no problems. Lay the channels out to let them
flatten out. It's not an afternoon job and I'd say Howard spent a good 4
full days putting mine in and we had his for templates before he
started..which speed things up considerably as he used his as a template and
trimmed mine leaving about 1/2" extra all around for minor adjustments. Take
your time installing and trimming panels..and all will be fine. That 3M tape
is $$$ and work VERY well.
