Windshield Retainer strip

Post by Wayne G. O'Shea » Sat Feb 18, 2012 9:50 am

Someone asked about the old (smart/clean/easy) way to do the windshield
retainer the other day....as I said it's just .020 aluminum.. but .025 or
.032 can be substituted.

The strip has an overall width of 1.5" and each edge has a brake in it of
about 5* (basically closing the brake will give most of the angle
required..just pull up the leaf ever so lightly). The "brakes" are 0.25" in
from one edge and 0.5" from the other.

Cheers,
Wayne
