Hi all
You can put metal on the flaps if you split them ,, i.e. ailerons / flaps
without balancing the flap as it is only for drag. I was planning on leaving
fabric on the ailerons as I dont want to balance them. I also thought that
if
the wheels kicked up any rocks the metal might hold up better. I looked at a
Rebel in Libby that had split metal flaps , I liked how it looked. There is
a
rebel that has been flying in Spokane WA for about a year with split flaps /
ailerons, his has all fabric controls surfaces, and separate controls for
each. Most folks seem to like the mod and I cant think of a reason not to.
