Balancing of Controls... Glass tips on the elevator

Post by rickhm » Sat Feb 18, 2012 8:55 am

Has anyone thought about or asked MAM about creating fiberglass tips for the elevator. It would play into the balancing. Fabrication wouldn't be hard, but if you did this what would the impact be? I just wondered if people had asked, the rather square ends are not the most attractive.

While everyone is on this subject----- What is the correct way to balance
them? ? ?
I always thought that you would balance them on the pivot line to a neutral
balance.
I asked Brian at MAM about the weights that were supplied with our kit and
his answer was to just put the weights that were sent in and fly. That's
what everyone else does.
Is this correct? ? ? ? ?
