N13BN IS ONCE AGAIN FLYING AFTER RE-HONING THE O-290 CYLINDERS. IT IS STILL
BLOWWING OIL, BUT HOPEFULLY THIS WILL IMPROVE.
MY CURRENT PROBLEM IS CABIN VENTILATION - OR LACK THEREOF.
I AM OPEM TO SUGGESTIONS, BEFORE I START CUTTING ON THINGS.

Glad you're in the air again, Bill ! A couple of ventilation suggestions
that are common up here:

- you can fasten NACA style vents to the sides of the fuse, just in
front of the doors, about a foot up from the bottom. These open by turning
a screw on the inside. They are molded plastic or fibreglass, and are
available from Aircraft Spruce & others. DO NOT use these if your cowling
has outlet openings on the sides - they will just suck the hot air inside !

- one easy solution is to put the large round tilt-out vents into the
side windows. These are made out of clear plastic, and are about 3 1/4"
in diameter. They push right in flush, so don't prevent you from opening
the windows later. Available from many supply houses.

- Jack Weibe made beautiful vents for his Rebel by using 1" or so
plastic plumbing pipe elbows installed in the fairings at the wing roots.
Just glue some plastic window screen on the end to keep out the bugs, put
an eyeball vent on the inside to be fancy, and away you go ! Of course,
you could also shell out mega $$$$ and buy airvents from a Cessna ....

Hi Bill,
The way I solved the vent problem was to find a cessna 150 wreck and
"borrowed" the cessna vents. I lined them up with the heater inlet so if I
need to build a plenum for defrost purposes I will be able to mix the air.
