Food For Thought:
Not haven thought it all through unlike the rest of you, this is what I did.
Put 1" styrofoam covered (glued) with plywood then carpeted in rear storage
area all the back to the battery and ELT which is beside that wheel that the
elevator cables run through.Battery on one side ELT on the other. Made it in
two parts so as to get it in and out.
Made a consul from underside of inst. panel to floor.(cut out for
cables)about 4" wide. Made cover over cables running between seats from
consul to back of seat rails.
This turned out to be a good thing.
With the battery and ELT in the back I ran the cables beside the hat track
in the middle of the floor up to the front. The cover between the seats
hides the cables and the cables then run up the back of the consul. BINGO!
All out of site but accessible.
I will mount my intercom on the cover between the seats which keeps the
head set cables at of the way as opposed to mounting it on the inst. panel.
The styro in the back also covers the gas lines to floor drains. Don't
forget to gouge out the styro for the cables and gas lines.(not gouge,do it
neat)
As opposed to mounting the intercom on the roof, which requires the lines to
be routed to behind the inst. panel, on the floor consul this is easy.
If you installed all these lines and cables under the floor boards don't
remember the aformentioned, carry on.You really thought it all out before
starting.
Keeping things exposed makes for ease of repair if needed.
This is for all those that haven't got this far yet. If your past all
this,please disregard.
GOOOOOOd LUCK TO ALL
Murray

Thanks Murray !
Have thought about it ! You will come to curse that
console blocking the bottom of the panel, if you ever go to
floats ! It will get in the way every time you have to hop
from one side to the other, for paddling or docking !! ;-)
