sooooo quiet - battery box

Post by Terry Dazey » Fri Feb 17, 2012 10:53 pm

Battery box's. Spruce has some for around $$$$$119:00 US. Well in my time of
leisure I called around. Battery World has a box 5"wc x8"Lx9"H. with a
little filler in the box and $22:95 cdn. It works great. Of course you have
to have an Odysey PC 680 to make it fit.
Hello Murray!

I was browsing the net this evening and ran across this Odyssey battery box.
LQQKS nice, but I am not sure if the mounting holes would fit in the Rebel.
BUT! . . where there is a will, there's a way.

Opinion?

I just clicked on another link in the odyssey battery page and there is a
page in hold downs.

Haven't seen the Odeyssey box specifically but to get a good strong base is
why I installed an .063 doubler under it.This also gives a little more meat
for the hold down clamps.
Murray:

It looks like the aluminum box is specifically made for the PC680 Odyssey
battery which needs no hold down straps.

Take a look at this link and you will see what I mean.
http://www.odysseybatteries.com/pc680hd.htm

Screw it on with nutplates to make it removable and rivet a bracket to the
side for the solenoid and you have it.

Just my .02 USD
