it for 3 pointing. I always put some weight in the back of a Rebel for the
first test flights. One: to trade off that I never carry full fuel on same
and second: to be safe that I wasn't off on the W & B calcs.
Instead of just using a "sack" full of misc may I suggest a 5 gallon jug
full of clean drinking water, lashed down in the cargo area. At least it has
a great usage, if the unmentionable happens in a non-habitable area. Or you
could trade off and put 30 lbs of survival gear/tools in a sack and a 2
gallon (20lb) water jug. I just find that short of using lead, that water is
an easier ballast to work with and secure in place. If going with the 5
gallon jug those blue camping ones work great and have a sturdy handle to
put the tie down straps through.
Cheers,
Wayne
