Re: Rebel Insurance requirement

Ron, There was a guy somewhere in your area that is a CFI that has a Rebel, on amphibs I believe. Can not recall his name but if you search old Minnesota flyer magazine website you should be able to find him. The article was about his Rebel. I'm up by Itasca State Park (private strip) if you ever fl...

Re: For Sale

Looking at your engine specs. What was the reason to change from A1D5 to D1A5? Was this built to be able to use auto fuel if needed? The D1A5 is listed at 250HP whereas the A4D5 is listed at 235HP, is this still 250HP? 12volt or 24volt? Were you able to get Pmags installed? I didn't see mention of i...

Re: Matco master cylinder intensifier

Totally forgot about this post. I installed the intensifiers several weeks ago. Wasn't difficult, but was time consuming to gat a perfect fit. If not nearly perfectly fit, they won't work like they should. I had no problems with bleeding them from the bottom as I normally do. As for improvement, yes...

Re: Matco master cylinder intensifier

Thanks for the replies everyone...albiet a bit late. Since I hadn't gotten any response I went ahead and ordered them. I guess they aren't all they are advertised to be. :( I did have a couple of guys on the backcountry pilot say they worked great for them, but I don't have any idea what kind of pla...

Re: Fuel cost shock

Steve, Next time I get to Oregon, we need to meet. You sound like my kind of people! :) My son lives in Grants Pass and we flew up to your area a couple of times last summer. I had heard there was a Rebel there, but didn't see it.

Matco master cylinder intensifier

Went flying last night and when I landed at home, I noticed my left brake felt a little soft. No fluid eaking anywhere so I am assuming the O-rings in the master cylinder are needing replacement. WHile looking for the rebuild kit, I noticed that Matco has an 'intensifier kit' that supposedly increas...

Re: Carbon Fiber Sensenich Prop

Sounds like it may be the same GA prop that has been discussed a bit on Supercub.org. I think they are saying its an 82 inch prop, so maybe you are looking at a different model. They do say it can be easily shortened though. I have a NIB Prince that I plan on putting on this year... sometime. (need ...

Re: Really liking this Rebel

Thanks Wayne! Totally agree, I do not like flying with tires in the snow. They'll be on before the next flight. I had plowed the runway a couple of days prior to this flight in anticipation of going to a fly-in near the Canadian border. That idea was scrubbed due to limited visibility. I had planned...

Re: Really liking this Rebel

Ahewko, He really likes it. It starts instantly in the cold weather and is very smooth running. I would think one would work very well in the Rebel. Light and gobs of power. I had an RX-1 sled with only 900 miles on it that I was thinking of using, but my projects days are over. Sold it to a friend ...

Really liking this Rebel

Winter has come with a vengeance! I just flew a few days ago, landed on a frozen lake with a buddy that has a KF on Full Lotus floats with an RX1 Yamaha engine in it. He keeps the floats on year round since he lives on a lake. They work great as skis in the winter time. Wife videoed me landing at my...

Re: 1800 Straight floats

Thanks! These are straight floats. Extremely nice workmanship, Located in MN. I can get pictures and post them. Just don't know if there is much of a market for straight floats. If I still had access to a hangar at the seaplane base, I would prefer straight floats.

1800 Straight floats

Anyone have a ball park figure of what a set of 1800 straight floats would be worth? Solid riveted, not the pull rivets that came with the kit.
