Re: Matco master cylinder intensifier
That looks like a smaller cylinder and piston kit to get higher pressure. Let us know the results if you try it, if it works I'll be ordering a set.

Re: Fuel cost shock
2 weeks ago I filled 100LL for $1.70/L, yesterday I filled for $$2.35/L. Picked up Shell premium Vmax today before the price increases for $2.02/L. (3.785 L/ US gal). I'll be flying as much as usual, while trying to find ways to cut costs. Printing money created inflation, restricting oil developmen...

Re: Facebook
If you are flying in western Canada, Alberta general aviation has a good Facebook page, lots of info on cool places to go, restaurants, strip & flying conditions, mostly for Alberta, but also some info for SK & BC. That's where I found windy.com, great for checking surface winds.

Re: Floatplane engine falling off
I've heard some Rebels may have been built with a coated aluminum firewall instead of a stainless steel firewall. Is anyone aware if that was the case here?

Re: new rebel kits?
If you go through the archives you should find the answers you need. Bungees are not sufficient for rough off airport, Craig's cub gear set up is the strongest for real off airport, or you may consider beefing up the existing gear for moderate off airport.

Re: other bushplane kits
The Bearhawk looks like a useful plane similar to a Rebel. I see they have hydraulically dampened die spring gear. Does anyone have any experience with those?

Re: Fuel System Questions
I agree with you 100%, have never omitted checking the fuel at all four drain points as part of the pre-flight, and never plan to, but I know people who do, and can see how a pilot could become complacent and start doing that. One guy by my hangar that rarely checks his fuel, used to add gasoline an...

Re: Fuel System Questions
I always checked for water ever pre-flight and was wondering if I was wasting my time as I had never seen a drop. Then a couple years ago in early spring my plane had been sitting outside for a few weeks with the tanks only 1/4 full. I checked for water and found lots, probably a 1/2 gallon between ...

Re: Electronic "mags"
When I bought one P- Emag a few years back they said there was no issue just running one, and most of the gain was had when installing the first one. The Emag always fires first, and I have had no issues, not sure if there have been problems with other single Emag set ups. Mine is tied into the igni...

Re: Brake Fluid, three questions
Hi all, I see that MAM recommend automatic transmission fluid for brake fluid. Has anyone had problems with this? Is there a particular auto trans fluid to use? Or is Dexron 3 the go? Thanks for all replies. Cheers Mike 818R in OZ........only two more electrical things to connect.....I hope. I have...
