Corrosion (resistance) in the charging system wiring, or starter circuit.
Bad starter, alternator, regulator.
Just a few of the things that cause thease problems

Re: Getting Started
The MOOSE quick builds come from the factory with -AD driven hard rivets, so I just kept using them in as many places as possible. By planning ahead most were a one person job. The few pulled rivets used such as wet wing access pannles were filled with epoxy and lightly sanded. The finished plane re...

Re: Decals
I had painted my Moose pure white, then clear coat, and added the colors with vinyl. An automotive sign shop / Print store, in Folsom CA, made all the "decals" and came 30 miles to my house and put them on the plane, all for about $500.00. They did a beautifull job, this was a 12" away good job, not...

Re: Engine Control Linkages - Firewall Design
I agree cables with rod ends or some call them "Monoball" are very nice, they come in about 6" differant lengths. Red for mixture, Blue for prop, Black for throttle. They can be in a standard push pull (My prefferance for throttle), or vernier for mix & prop. For the routing try a heavy "bailing wir...

Re: Yukon w 540 mount question
I fabricated a bracket from some heavy sheet metal and attached it to the inside of the firewall. The thickness was about .090" x 4 to 6" wide. It was long enough to pick up the channels on the outside. The bend was made over a piece of 2x4 with the round edge clamped in a big vice. If you don't hav...

Re: New website for N2500V
To SR-021: Have you flown at gross weight? What is the rate at 3,500 pounds? No I won't cringe at an automotive engine. I gave some thought to a Chevy by Bud Warren in Texas (deceased) It sure ran nice on a test stand at OSH some years back. You can't have too much horse power! You can always thrott...

Re: Painting Issues
I used the HOBBY-AIR System for all my needs. A friend loaned it to me, Now I am trying to buy it from him.
My thinking is IF YOU MUST USE THOSE 2 PART EPOXI PAINT PRODUCTS, YOU MUST USE A GOOD SAFE BREATHING SYSTEM. For me ...end of discussion!
