Re: primer

BMS 10-11 epoxy is the way to go. Paint on the faying surfaces, assemble wet, and dip each rivet, and then hope you never need to take them apart. Just don't get it on the outside surfaces cos paint of any sort won't ever stick or cover it.

Re: Getting Started

Re the bench, I made mine as recommended about 3 ft high, but found when on the fuse, an "adjustable" floor height worked well.

Re: Zinc Chromate Alternatives

G'Day Dave, I am using BMS 10/11, a Boeing spec epoxy primer between all the faying surfaces and assembling while wet, including dipping the rivets. Just hope hope that I never have to take anything apart. It is available from PPG in Tullamarine, or if you have a friendly airline LAME, a bit cheaper...

Renegade Weight and Balance Info

A Mate has a Renegade and wants to do a weight and balance check. He is the third owner and doesn't have the plans.
Can anybody please help with the relevant data? ie Datum point, CofG envelope etc. It has a 100 HP 912 engine.
Any info greatly appreciated.
